Especially in Tiong Bahru, Art Deco was expressed by its unique stairs. Those uniqueness have become one of Tiong Bahru's charm. Based on what I wrote in my recent article Tiong Bahru 2 - Art Deco Everywhere As we see, they have clean shapes, repetitions, 'streamlined' looked, and the used of mass produced material. The stairs represent the style very well. They even become highlight of Tiong Bahru's housing.
